About Us
Security Locknut LLC is a manufacturer of high-performance locknuts serving the bolted joint industry worldwide. We are a small but fast-paced company where teamwork, accuracy, and reliability are essential. We’re looking for a detail-oriented Purchasing Agent to manage our procurement and inventory functions and support continued growth.
Responsibilities
- Manage purchasing of raw materials, components, and consumables to support efficient workflow.
- Maintain and develop strong vendor relationships, including price negotiations and performance tracking.
- Coordinate outsourced services and ensure timely deliveries.
- Monitor and manage raw material and finished goods inventory levels.
- Ensure receipt and accuracy of material certifications and compliance documentation.
- Assist with system setup, process improvements, and modifications to purchasing and inventory systems.
- Provide input for product costing and end-product pricing.
- Contribute to annual budgets and cost-control initiatives.
- Collaborate across departments (production, engineering, quality, finance) to support business needs.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of purchasing or supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment (fastener or metalworking industry a plus).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Outlook, Teams).
- Experience with QuickBooks Enterprise or similar ERP/MRP systems strongly preferred.
- Ability to analyze data, track costs, and support accurate pricing models.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with vendors and internal teams.
