About the Role:
The Sales Logistics Internship role provides operational support to the Sales and Marketing department on a weekly basis in the offices of Milkadamia that is based in Burr Ridge, IL and will be moving to Rolling Meadows, IL in April 2024. The role will entail supporting the sales/marketing team on:
- Preparation and shipment of product samples to fulfill Shopify orders (FedEx comes and picks up from our office)
- Preparation and shipment of product samples to customers and influencers (FedEx comes and picks up from our office), providing tracking information to the requesting parties
- Pallet preparation for major tradeshows Milkadamia attends – Sales/Marketing team will provide direction on what needs to be prepared/packed in the pallet
The role will be 4 hours/week on an agreed upon day/time, and on a monthly basis, in addition to the 4 hour/week commitment, tradeshow pallet preparation support will be needed for 6 hours x month. In total, monthly scope will be 24-26 hours.
Requirements and Skills:
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling documentation
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and email communication.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
- High School Diploma required.
Work Environment:
The work environment is a bustling and organized space within a small distribution center/warehouse. It's optimized for efficiency in handling sample products shipped via USPS and UPS. Staff work in close proximity to storage areas filled with shelves, pallet racks, and bins, facilitating easy access to products. There are dedicated stations for receiving, packing, and shipping, equipped with computers, printers, and shipping supplies. Safety is paramount, with clear signage, safety equipment, and adherence to proper lifting techniques. The climate-controlled facility ensures comfortable working conditions, while ample lighting ensures visibility.
