Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Advanced experience in scope review, budget analysis, information gathering, basic & advanced programming
  • Advanced knowledge in site surveys, state and local code requirements/research methods, ADA requirements, occupancy types, occupant load calculations, egress planning, plumbing fixture counts/code review
  • Advanced experience in visioning, concept development and space planning
  • Advanced understanding and knowledge of elements and principles of design, color and materials
  • Advanced experience with construction materials and sourcing FF&E specifications/providers
  • Advanced understanding of proper acoustic and lighting planning and specifications
  • Advanced experience in project design specifications, construction documentation production and construction administration

Experience & Education:

  • Licensed or registered Interior Designer preferred
  • Bachelor/Master Degree in Interior Design or Architecture from a CIDA-accredited or NAAB-accredited program
  • Remain educated through relevant continuing education-type opportunities
  • Minimum 5+ years of post-graduate professional Design experience, preferably within commercial design
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrates collaborative and professional demeaner with clients and other team members
  • Self-directed and motivated
  • Proficient in AutoCAD (current office release preferred)
  • Proficient in Photoshop and SketchUp
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, One Note)
